Safety first for women who use taxi

Manop Sukhum, 36, a native of Nonthaburi. The taxi owner, who was not identified, said Mr Manop returned the car on April 15 at 11am, three hours before the scheduled time.

Manop who was a driver on a pink taxi and attacked a woman. Her name was Tippawan Kaewlordhun, a 46-year-old housewife.

One day at dawn, Tippawan was waiting for taxi and Manop who was a driver on the pink taxi picked her up from Mor Chit bus terminal to Rama III Road about 4am on April15.

On the way, he slowly was driving suddenly he picked his gun and shot her in stomach but she tried to keep safe by raising her arm to protect herself but he did not stop. He shot her again. The bullet put into her hand.

The driver thought she already died so he robed all precious things that she had after he did it, he still drove on the way and there was a women on the back seat. He quickly thought and push her body which lay down on the back seat to roadside. A women assumed to be died and slowly crawled up to find helper after the taxi left. Fortunately, there was Thatchai Anthony who was a police that guard around that area. He took her to police station and interviewed her about all information that happened. Finally, the police could find the driver who attacked her and brought him to prison
